Four contemporary photographers explore the theme of loss in the relationship between mother and child.
Curator Susan Bright has selected work by Ann Fessler (b. 1950, USA), Tierney Gearon (b. 1963, USA), Miyako Ishiuchi (b. 1947, Japan) and Annu Palakunnathu Matthew (b. 1964, Britain), who use photography in a variety of ways: by digitising vernacular photographs, drawing on documentary and experimental film practice or as a trace.

May 20th, 2013Naked. What does it feel like to be naked? I guess it all reflects on one’s state of mind. When one is naked they are naked! If you are feeling great about yourself then you can run around free and not worry about the fact you have given birth and breast fed four children! But if you are not feeling comfortable, being naked in front of someone you don’t want to be naked in front of can feel so humiliating. one can feel exposed or unprotected. April 24th, 2013one of my favorite things in the world to do with my children is TYE DYE ! i usually do it a few times a year. everyone is always asking me if i can make a T shirt for them . so i decided is to Tye -Dye 100 t shirts and do a special collection and sell them ! it has been so much work but so much fun. the kids and i have made everything from the tye-dying to the label making and the tag. 100 % homemade with a ton of fun and a ton of love ! what i love about the process is all of the colors.… Read the rest
